Victor Carlin

Victor was born in 1968 in Nopaltepec, a small village in the South of Mexico, in the heart of the tropical region. As a child, Victor created his own friends made of old material and socks and he painted on the walls to escape to imaginary worlds far away.

At fourteen, Victor left home for Mexico City where he studied different healing techniques. Eventually, he moved to Acapulco to work in health clubs, this is when he started to sell his acrylics on paper.

At seventeen, Victor migrated to California, where he lived for seven years and continued life as a part time artist and expert in survival. In the mid-nineties, Victor moved to France and eventually London, where he lived for eight years before returning to Mexico to open a gallery and help deprived children.

Victor’s work speaks of lush rain forests and nostalgia, yet with hope for an ever brighter future underpinning each image that he creates.

Victor's paintings form an integral part of many significant international collections.
