Taras Loboda was born in Ivano-Frankovsk, Ukraine, in 1961. He studied at the renowned Zaretsky Studio and the Institute of Art in Kiev, where he obtained a degree in Fine Art.
Taras paints in oil on canvas using a combination of brushes and palette knife. His main themes are atmospheric, water-based landscapes, portraits of women and still life.
Through his rich use of oils in electrifying contrasts, Taras’s canvases offer both substance and feeling.
In 1993 Taras moved to Prague in the Czech Republic where he now lives and works.
